Meet Shania Mone't
Shania Mone't Hanks was born to Cedric and Sharlene on May 17, 1996 at DeKalb Medical Center located in Decatur, Georgia. "Niya" as she was affectionately called was a quiet storm even as a child. Although she was quiet, people always wanted to be a part of her circle. Shania participated in many different activities from cheering at Fairfield Baptist Church, Gresham Park and eventually at Chapel Hill Middle School. Aside from cheering Shania was a part of the Premier Dance Team and the Rainbow Elle's at Rainbow Elementary School. Shania excelled academically in any task that she set her mind to accomplish.
Shania accepted the Lord at a very early age and joined Fairfield Baptist Church. Exploring her gifts, she soon discovered that she loved singing and praising the Lord. You could always find she and her sister singing every song in perfect harmony. Although quiet, she would always sing and worship but never sought the spotlight. Shania was such a loving and caring person and would literally give you her very last. Even as a child, she loved working with and taking care of children. She actually thought that her sister Sharmaine was her own personal little baby doll. She continued to cultivate her passion for children at Holy Band Healing and Deliverance Center where she was a dedicated leader of the youth ministry as well as lifting her voice in praise and worship.
At Southwest Dekalb High School, Shania chose to venture into a career of Nursing and was working towards her goal of becoming a Neo-natal nurse. On her first attempt, she passed the exam needed for her to work in the medical field.
In addition to her working in different nursing homes and gaining experience, Shania ventured into Cosmetology to pass the time away. Little did she know that God has graced her hands from the Heavens. She then decided to call her business name "Heavenly Hands".
Shania attended Georgia Southern University where she worked to pursue her dream. She always stayed connected to God and strived to worship with him at Spirit and Truth. At this place God connected her with some phenomenal people that made an impact on her life as did she make on them; including the Pastor and First Lady.
In 2017, Shania decided to move to Ocala, Florida to soon marry the love of her life, Bryan Hanks. While in Ocala, Shania continued to use her skills and Heavenly Hands and built her Cosmetology business. On February 23, 2018, Shania and Bryan became one and were inseparable from that moment on. She continued working with the youth, while sharing the gospel and singing at different church events. Shania was working on her business expansion as well as planning her first Women's Conference "Wounded Women" still Worship.
Although Shania had never fully conceived her own biological child, she always loved on and cherished those that God has placed in her path. Even while in college, Shania brought home "Toota" for a whole weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. As I look back God was gracing her with the opportunity to be a mother.
Shania transitioned on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Ocala Medical Center, in Ocala Florida. Our hearts will never be the same without her here on earth but we know that God does not make any mistakes and that she is our Heavenly Angel looking and watching over us each day. She will forever be in our hearts........Long Live Shania
